Max Pégas (1925-2003) was a French film producer. The ingredients of a good film are an interesting story, good humour, talented actors, beautiful scenery, skilled photographers and a surprising ending. Pégas' films lacked all that. He tried to compensate by using settings where the textile costs were very limited, like the beaches of St. Tropez. One could claim that his films were a waste of time and money. In fact, one
should do so.
